about plebpoet

Pleb, short for plebeian, has been embraced as a moniker for those who belong to a tech-positive and liberty-centric movement inspired by the innovations in network capabilities and financial tools that are known generally as bitcoin. Borrowing sentiment from ancient times, a pleb goes humbly about her work, finding meaning in bringing it into the world and not concerned about what happens beyond that. A pleb works toward peaceful coordination and self-sovereignity, acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to that end.

Influence

The poetic works of plebpoet find genial company among the confessional poets, particularly Sylvia Plath. Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson are the great transcendental figures who loom over plebpoet. The works of T.S. Eliot also take up considerable space in the plebpoet universe. In Ann Patchett’s novels, plebpoet finds similarity with her warmth of voice and tone. Sam Pink should be acknowledged as well for his boldness and presence that gives plebpoet a pattern to follow.

Philosophy

“Plebpoet” is synonymous with folk art. It is for the sake of self expression, with mixed portions of truth and beauty, that a word is penned or a line is sketched. It is not of plebpoet’s concern to convince readers of any particular argument, but to bring into focus the experience that life is.
